Tip: Decor 2001 Network PrintingDecember 1, 2004 @ 1:56am
Much hair was pulled while trying to get the Decor 2001 point of sale package to print to network printers on a Windows 98SE network of POS terminals. The receipt and invoice printers on one machine were shared and installed on another machine, and Windows printed test pages fine, however Decor would not print anything. It displayed no error messages or any activity in the printer, just nothing. The solution turned out to be simply changing the spool setting for the printer from EMF to RAW (in Properties > Details tab > Spool Settings > Spool data format).

For what it's worth, the Decor version was 1.90.

CBC(Canada Business Computers)'s tech support department was very helpful, stating in an email response "it should work"! Hopefully this saves someone some grief and/or CBC tech support costs.

Tip: COX Cable Internet Service with a D-Link DI-604 RouterDecember 1, 2004 @ 1:48am
When setting up a D-Link DI-604 router/gateway to use Cox Cable's internet service, we discovered that you have to remove the default hostname of the router ("DI-604"), and leave that field blank (under the WAN settings section). With the default value in there, it would not connect to the cable modem or receive any dhcp information from it, yet it worked fine when connected directly to a computer.

Hope this helps someone in the future!
